The John Stallworth Foundation Golf Tournament

The Celebrity Golf Tournament is the primary fundraiser supporting the Foundation’s scholarship program. The golf tournament has grown each year since its inception in 2002, when it was held by the City of Huntsville in honor of Stallworth’s induction into the Professional Football Hall of Fame.

Festivities surrounding the golf tournament will begin with a Celebrity Fundraising Reception, Pairings Party and Silent Auction, on Thursday, June 9, 6:00 p.m. at the Huntsville Marriott. The public is invited to purchase tickets to attend the event, where they will mingle with celebrity guests, enjoy great food, bid on fantastic auction items and hear brief testimonials from some of our scholarship recipients.

The golf tournament will begin at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10, with golfer/team check-in at Hampton Cove Golf Course and Huntsville Country Club. The shotgun start will be at 8:00 am at both courses. Participants will have the chance to play golf with celebrities who will rotate among the golf teams throughout the event. Immediately following the tournament, a catered luncheon featuring award winning all-you-can-eat Big Bob Gibson’s barbeque will begin at approximately 1:00 p.m. The awards luncheon is open to registered players, sponsors, celebrities and tournament volunteers. Approximately 35 celebrities from sports and entertainment are expected to participate in each of these events.

Due to our supportive sponsors and celebrities, and the tremendous response from golfers, this tournament always sells out! Reservations for golf, and your preference of either Hampton Cove or Huntsville Country Club will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
